Air balancing is the process of testing and adjusting a HVAC system to deliver the proper amount of air to a designated area. The balancing process is done by performing a number of tests to determine the overall performance of the HVAC system. The tests measure the amount of air at each individual register, overall system pressure and the temperature and humidity of the system. These tests help to determine how the system is performing.
With the information collected during the tests, Dynamic Balancing is then able to diagnose any problems and make recommendations for repair and balancing. The balancing is based upon flow values specified by the mechanical engineer for the project. The balancing of the duct system provides maximum system performance (this is achieved by adjusting dampers, fan speed and pressure controls). This results in the area having a comfortable temperature, cleaner air, humidity control and higher energy savings. |
